I have been teaching for over 20 years and enjoy making quality and hands on Japanese resources for all language learners. I have a huge passion for the teaching and learning of the Japanese language and culture and have enjoyed visiting Japan numerous times.

Japanese language learning should be fun, engaging and memorable. This is achieved through songs, language games, repetition and highly engaging teaching and learning activities.

# I was exemplified for outstanding teaching and learning in Japanese from the unique way that I taught Years 4 - 6 students about 'heiwa' (peace) and Sadako Sasaki's story (Hiroshima atomic bomb). # I was selected as an Australian State Representative to attend a Japanese Familiarisation Tour in September - October 2023! It was amazing - すごい！

My love of the Japanese culture and Japanese people came from a very short two day stopover in Tokyo, Japan when I was 23 years old. I received a 'taste' and had to pursue it...

I have taught all grades from Kindergarten / Prep through to Year 6. I have also taught high school Japanese to Year 7 and Year 8 students. I have enjoyed my brief time teaching elementary students in Japan too!
