I am about to begin my 5th year of teaching. I taught 3rd grade for two years, 2nd grade for one year, and served as a STEM facilitator for one year. This year will be my second time in 2nd grade and I'm pumped for an exciting year!
I like to offer choice to my students throughout the year, as well as a lot of small group and independent work. I do agree there is a place for whole group instruction, but it shouldn't be the only way students are served. Small groups are derived from pre-post test data throughout the year.

I am from a small town in Georgia. I am married to a wonderful, hard-working man. We have a handsome 2 year old son who keeps us on our toes! I absolutely love to create, plan, and implement new methods of teaching into the classroom! I truly believe I have the best job there is. :)
