I have been teaching elementary special education since 2006 in Idaho and Wyoming. I am currently a special education and Title 1 teacher at a K-3 school.
I am interested in task analysis and breaking down skills into small enough steps that even my lowest students can be successful and confident. I am currently focused on creating step-by-step math lessons for my students (and look forward to sharing more of them with you). I've found that with explicit instruction and plenty of practice, my special ed students can keep up with their peers and enjoy doing math. It is rewarding to get them to that point.
