TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a stay at home mom for 10 years, and have been a Preschool/Kindergarten teacher for about 12 years. Throughout that time I have been a children's musician and storyteller.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to teach the standards that we have been given in a developmentally appropriate way.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I helped to create an early childhood program that was chosen to be a model site by the Illinois State Board of education. I have told stories and sung songs all over the state of Illinois. I have also co-authored articles that have been published in NAEYC's magazine "Young Children."

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a BA in education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Kindergarten is my calling. I love watching the children learn and grow. I use music to "help sooth the savage beast" and to teach important concepts in a fun and active way.
