Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to read my profile. Before I tell you about myself, I would first like to say that every resource that I have created and shared to with the teaching community has been developed for the purpose of engaging my own students. If you do choose to download one my products, I would like to say thank you and I hope you and your students enjoy! In my 15 wonderful years of teaching with the Thames Valley District School Board, I have been fortunate enough to have taught students ranging from K-8. Most of my teaching career has been as a homeroom teacher in the junior / intermediate division. Throughout my journey, I have held roles as the computer support teacher, sports council representative, junior division leader, and coach of various sports. My involvement in School Improvement Teams and Junior Math Initiatives provided valuable experience developing highly engaging activities for struggling students. Prior to teaching, I counselled high risk youth and helped individuals with disabilities prepare for and obtain employment. - T Coppard
I believe in a classroom that is comfortable, collaborative and highly engaging. A wide variety of learning styles, needs, and interests are considered while designing lessons. Activities should be relevant and related to the lives of our students. Integrating different subjects and incorporating technology allows students to make deeper connections to the material.
