I taught first grade for 7 years, ESOL 1 year, fourth grade 4 years, and I am currently an interventionist (EIP). This is my fourth year teaching EIP and I love it! I have attended several trainings on Dyslexia and have a Dyslexia Endorsement on my teaching certificate.
My favorite style of teaching is student lead discussion. I love to hear the ideas of the students and how they view what they are learning. I also love to see the light bulbs go off when they finally hear something that makes sense. Who better to teach and communicate with kids than kids themselves. When we teach we learn. Multisensory instruction has become a new favorite in my methods of teaching. I have seen it work in my students as well as my personal children.
