This is my 23rd year teaching preschool special education. I teach 3, 4, and 5 year old children with various special needs. Prior to becoming a special education teacher, I was a substitute teacher and a classroom assistant; so I was able to work with Pre-Kindergarten through Highschool aged children. That's how I discovered my true love, working with preschool aged children.
There's so much freedom in teaching preschool that the upper grades just don't have. I'm always incorporating music and movement, art, play, sensory activities, visuals...into my teaching style.
My highest honor and joy, is being a mother. I have 2 beautiful daughters. Teaching preschool special education, I work with some children who don't have functional language, so having their parents trust me with their children, is also a special honor for me.
I earned my B.A. degree in English with a minor in Philosophy from the University of California, Irvine. Next, I attended California State University, Dominguez Hills, graduating with an Early Childhood Special Education Credential and a M.A. in Special Education. My credential authorizes me to teach infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children with special needs.
Along with selling resources designed for young children, I also plan on creating educational videos designed for young children. If you have ideas about resources that would be helpful for your students or if you have any questions, please email me at Care2Teach.Edu@gmail.com. Thanks!
