I am currently a Second Grade teacher at the AMAZING Westside Innovative School Houe (WISH) Charter in Los Angeles - a fully inclusive school that prides itself on its commitment to helping every student reach their full potential. I received my BA and teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University in May 2017 after student teaching in 2nd Grade and 4th Grade for one semester! During my program, I also worked as an aide at the Loyola Marymount University Children's Center.
I am all about trying new things! I would consider my style to be relaxed and play or experience oriented. I hate the idea of homework and I love to instill a natural love of learning with my students. I especially like to create hands-on experiences with oft-hated subject areas like social science and math. Two things I feel especially passionate about: full inclusivity in classrooms and social justice education.
The Outstanding Student Teacher Award from Loyola Marymount University's Center for Undergraduate Teacher Preparation
I studied Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) at Loyola Marymount, with a minor in History. I was accepted into their School of Education my Sophomore year there, and will graduate with my credential and degree in May 2017.
