TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught a variety of subjects beginning with ESL in Japan over 30 years ago. My background is in Fine Arts and I have taught art classes in private schools and Culinary Arts in Secondary. I currently teach a combined 3,4,5th grade class in a rural Arizona school

MY TEACHING STYLE

I seek to create a peaceful, safe, and fun atmosphere in my classroom that one is excited to return to on Monday morning! Although I teach at a traditional public school, I follow the philosophy of Maria Montessori who believed the classroom environment must support a child's natural curiosity to acquire skills and knowledge.
