TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught social studies and AVID for the last decade with extensive experience teaching World History, Ancient Civilizations, AP European History, AP Psychology as well all secondary levels of AVID. I also served as an AVID Site Team Coordinator for the last six years in both CA and WA.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in the inclusion of multiple-Intelligences with many interactive and group-based activities. I also love student-centered and project based learning. With my background as an AVID teacher and coordinator, I also understand the importance of systems, routines, and organization to help our classrooms run smoothly, which is why I include many forms and documents from my classroom practice.
