TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Over the past 29 years, I have taught reading, writing, math, science and social studies to grades 1,3,4,5 and 6 spanning ESE/LD to Gifted students. Teaching is my passion! We all know the high expectations and rigorous curriculum involved today to help prepare our students for standardized testing. The ELA/Reading portion of most state and national standardized tests is about 50% fiction/literature based. Therefore, the Connections to Literature guides are great tools that integrate novel studies with Standardized Test Prep using literature. You can meet the standards using chapter books that your students will love and engage them in reading. The literature guides have multiple choice, extended responses, writing prompts and response booklets.
