Since 2008, I have been making a difference in the lives of students as a school counselor. In the 15 years prior to that, I was an elementary and middle school classroom teacher. The National School of Character Award was awarded to my school in 2017, and we were the only school in our state to receive this award. I was awarded the Kansas Model School Counseling Program Standard of Excellence for five years in a row.
I believe in finding the positive and working toward achieving each person's personal highest standard. Relationships are the path to learning.
The KSDE Model School Counseling Program Standard of Excellence was awarded to my counseling program for 5 consecutive years. The National School of Character Award was awarded to my school in 2017, and we were the only school in our state to receive this award.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Master's Degree in K-9 School Counseling.
I am a single mom who is lucky enough to have two grown daughters of whom I am incredibly proud. My older daughter gave me two amazing grandkids, and my younger daughter is attending college. Both daughters can be said to know her own mind, work hard, are great people and actually like to spend time with me. I think that may be my highest achievement!!
