I have 26 years experience in teaching, K - 6th grade. My first 24 years I taught a Learning Support Class. My last 2 years I taught regular 6th grade. Both types of teaching were so rewarding! We are all so much a part of our students' lives and it means so much to them to know how much we care and want them to succeed.
My teaching style has always been a hands on approach and free flowing. The Lee Canter courses I took gave me guidance with my Learning Support Class which really helped my students reach their full potential. It was amazing to see how much they matured and what goals they achieved! What an exciting and rewarding career!
Writer's Digest Writing Award 2000 for my mystery books written for children ages 7-12. "The Willowby Mansion Mystery" and "The Mystery on Cow Mountain."
I have a dual certification in special education and regular education K-12. and 43 graduate credits in additon to my Masters Equivalency. These included Lee Canter courses. I have also attended Jack Canfield seminars.
I enjoy writing, golf, and cooking.
