I started my journey in 2016 teaching Literature and Composition to freshmen with big dreams. Now I've added sophomores to the mix, broadening both my curriculum and instructional experience. I have bold ideas and believe that while the primary purpose of school is not to entertain, it has the ability to. I hope to harness that momentum to create educational opportunities for even the most reluctant learners.
Interactive, creative, and colaborative.
Yet to be added
I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus in writing at Truman State University and am certified to teach ELA for grades 5-12. Prior to teaching, I served as a long-term substitute and before that a paraprofessional.
I hope that my creations will bring fun and inspiration to your classroom. My goal is to create products that are relevant and lovely to look at. I have an eye for detail, and as a visual learner myself, I understand what great graphics can do for a lesson or text. I try to incorporate timeless pop culture references into my material, giving students a chance to connect and truly see the value in storytelling.
