Doria's Dandies

My experience in the classroom with students in elementary school began 20 years ago. I have worked with students from age 4 to 10. Most of my experience has been with students with special needs and students that receive intervention services in the areas of reading and math.

I get to know my students strengths and weakness and develop activities and lessons that provide hands-on learning. Student engagement is important to me that is why I create games and songs.

Many of my songs and ideas have been accepted and published by Mailbox Publication.

High School Graduate with a number of non-credit and credit courses in Education and Child Development. Multiple hours of county Staff Development training in areas of special education, reading and math. Completed a Writing for Children's course.

Experience as a child day care provider, VBS craft director, Sunday School teacher, camp counselor, mother, and grandmother.
