TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I finished my student teaching experience in Secondary English in fall 2016 and have been a long-term substitute in a first-grade classroom. I have had my own ELA classroom since 2017.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I try to integrate play and creativity into academics as much as possible and am learning to balance the academic needs for testing with the students' needs for expression.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a bachelor's degree in Communication with a minor in marketing. I went back to school to get a master's degree in Secondary English Education.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher but life took me a different direction when I went to college. After graduating with a bachelor's degree, I knew that education was where I belonged so I went back to school to get my education degree and have not looked back!
