Farmhouse Teacher Creatives

Previously, I have taught in a 1st grade and 5th grade classroom. Currently, I am a Reading Intervention Specialist where I support students in grades K-3rd. This position allows me to identify each student's individual needs. I use integrated curriculum to support these needs.

I am enthusiastic about creating a student-centered learning environment. I believe this can be accomplished through implementation of student-centered activities, hands-on learning, and differentiation. My goal is to always set strong learning targets and provide students with diverse learning opportunities to meet the needs of every student. To support students reaching expectations and goals I believe they must practice and apply new learning through multiple modalities. Additionally, I believe it is vital to implement student's interests into every lesson to ultimately increase motivation and engagement. I believe this is fundamental to fostering a love for learning.

I attended the University of Southern California (USC), where I received my Master's in Teaching. In addition, I received my English Learner (EL) and Specialized Use of Technology in Educational Settings Authorizations. These authorizations make me specialized in supporting 21st century learners by cultivating learning experiences that incorporate student backgrounds and technological innovations.
