I have been teaching for 9 years primarily in first grade (which I LOVE!). I serve as a mentor for new teachers as well as senior interns. I have been grade chair for many years so I have lots of leadership qualities (though I would never want to be a principal). I love to create and incorporate technology and meaningful lessons in my classroom. Teaching isn't always about the lessons you learn and teach but the memories you make for your kids! My classroom is always buzzing with learning noise and growth. I believe that every kid should leave my classroom a happy kid at the end of the day!
I believe in very hands on teaching and learning through experience. I use Kagan in my classroom as well as some whole brain teaching. Children need to move so I use movements and gestures. Children also need to be able to bridge their learning so I always try to tie in their learning to something we have already learned or something they can relate to in their own life.

I love to create lesson for kids that they will enjoy and that I will enjoy teaching them. Lessons/centers should be creative and meaningful and not just busy work. Thanks for looking at my store.
