TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught classes in both American (Texan) and Japanese public schools, both in English and Japanese. I have been a teacher since 2016 and am currently teaching in Japan at the ES and JHS level. I also have experience as an ES Reading Interventionist and tutor for both one-on-one sessions and small groups.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My mission statement is to help make my students better global citizens by developing their ideas about the world and the people within it. I strive to develop materials for all kinds of learners to aid in the process of scaffolding information as well as understanding new language concepts. I prefer to have students share their own ideas in activities, to stay engaged and achieve a higher taxonomy of learning!
