TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught kindergarten through grade 5 throughout my 14 year career. As all teachers, I have accommodated an increasingly wide range of learning styles. I have found amazing evidence that music reaches nearly every single type of learner in a way that impacts their long term memory. When I say "Learning 4 Fun = Learning 4 Life," I mean exactly that. Evidence and experience are coupled in a fundamental way that ensures success for your students! It is all neatly packaged here, at access for you to add easily to your instructional program. MY TEACHING STYLE

I use a hands-on approach in my classroom. I enjoy teaching through music, games, and interactive activities. I created these videos and songs to reach both auditory and visual learners. My experience has taught me that music reaches nearly every learning style. Not only is teaching in this manner fun, but my students retain the information months and years after the lesson has ended. Learning 4 Fun = Learning 4 Life......... and this is at the heart and essence of GrammarSongs!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

2016 Winner of the COX Get Started Contest in Education. Spirit of Gainesville for Education Award. I graduated from Florida State University with a 4.0 grade point average in Elementary Education. I have successfully taught in North Carolina and in Florida. I taught educational workshops in Buncomble County for many years. Now I teach the whole world to learn by singing through GrammarSongs.

I graduated from Santa Fe College and Florida State University. I have been extremely successful as both a student and a teacher. I help many interns learn to be successful in the classroom by using music and a hands-on approach. I grew up in Gainesville, Florida. I had many ear surgeries as a child. I have a sensory-neuro hearing loss that is hereditary. My hearing loss has not slowed me down because I have music in my heart. You and your student will benefit extensively from the purchase of my product!
