HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Altoona Area School District CARE Award Winner Saint Francis University Outstanding Graduate Student

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a proud alumna of the Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. I am Pennsylvania certified in secondary Physics, secondary Mathematics, and K-12 Principalship, and I have an Online Teaching endorsement. I received my Masters in Educational Leadership from Saint Francis University and completed my Principal's Practicum in 2014. In 2015, I completed an Online Instruction Endorsement program at Millersville University, which is some of the most meaningful coursework I have ever done. It changed my face-to-face teaching every bit as much as it challenged me to incorporate technology in my classroom.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I live in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, with my husband, who is a sixth grade Science, Social Studies, and Writing teacher at Ephrata Intermediate School. We have two turtles, Gunther and Franklin. I am a huge fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, New York Jets, and all things Penn State! I love sports, music, reading, and traveling. Follow me @MsHoopThereItIs on Facebook and Twitter!
