In college, I tutored children who spoke another language on reading in English, and for those who recently came into the country, I taught the basics in English. I also taught parents of some students, whose first language was Spanish. After college, I volunteered abroad and taught English in Palestine for 3 months. My students were teenagers and adults, most of whom were beginners and some were at the intermediate level. After coming back from Palestine, I taught English to parents of ESOL students through an outreach non-profit organization, In Reach. Currently, I work from home as an Arabic-English translator, but I hope to start my own series of evening ESOL classes for adults.
