I have been a science teacher for 15 years. My degree is in Environmental Biology. I was hired without any education classes, during the middle of a school year, I had to learn on my own how to become a teacher basically via trial and error. I know that if you are a new teacher, heck even seasoned teachers have a lot of stress and work. I really enjoy TpT because sometimes you struggle to create a resource that works and every year I have to reinvent the wheel so to speak because I have taught Biology, Zoology, Ecology, Marine , Physical science, Anatomy and Chemistry.
Many teachers and students think that I am a "hard" teacher. However, I believe that the more you push and have high expectations the more the students will be prepared for state testing and success. I try to teach in a way that they will experience in College. Lecture, Lab, and most importantly explain it simply but with a hard edge.
