I am a fourth year Agricultural Education teacher and FFA Advisor at my hometown technology center. I taught middle school agricultural science for the past three years, but my heart truly belongs at the high school level! I was born and raised on a small family farm, so my passion for agriculture sparked at a very young age. Today, when I'm not in the classroom or greenhouse, I'm tending to my 60+ chickens and my cow-calf herd!
I thoroughly believe that the best way for a student to learn is by "getting their hands dirty." I believe in interactive, hands-on learning activities that require participation and engagement, as well as Project-Based Learning.
The greatest honor I could ever receive is seeing the growth and success of my students!
I graduated from Clemson University in May of 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Education and a minor of study in Horticulture. I intend to seek a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration in the near future.
When I am not at school teaching, I am at home on my small-scale poultry operation where I raise and sell specialty breeds of chickens, as well as farm fresh eggs!
