15 years of teaching Basic Algebra, algebra I, and Geometry

I believe in a supportive classroom. I feel that competition and personal mobility have no place in the greater scheme of things, especially in the classroom. In a teaching environment of mutual support for one another, the systems within the greater system of society share common values, and information flows freely, knowledge becomes commonplace. Everyone wins.

In addition to teaching in public and private schools for 15 years, I owned and operated a private tutorial business (15 years), assisting students in a variety of disciplines including mathematics, history, English, chemistry, and SAT preparation. Also, I had the privilege of volunteering at Super Camp one summer in Hawaii; the purpose of the camp was to support high school students needing emotional/educational support; it was a huge growth experience for both students and teachers, one that I hold dear.
