Lecture Driven. Student Exploration Focused. Assignments designed to be plagiarism-resistant by shedding simply K/U questions that demand recall. Like many of us, transitioning to Remote Learning/Teaching has been difficult, but working to create activities, lesson and assignments that promote engagement.

"Agents of Positive Change - " http://accessola2.com/images/infocentral/tl_17_2.pdf Jan 2010, Ontario School Library Association The article reports on the efforts of library staff to change the placement of LGBT books in the bookshelves of libraries in Ontario. It notes that under the Dewey system, books dealing with LGBT issues have been placed under the same shelf dealing with subjects such as prostitution, divorce, and incest. Teacher-librarians have collaborated with Youth Embracing Sexualities (YES) to find a more inclusive and positive space for LGBT books.

Having studied education at Trent University and then Queen's University, I have been long interested in ways to improve my pedagogy and my assessment & evaluation. Working as the Head Teacher-Librarian and chair of committees provided me with great basis for resource creation, analysis, improvement and delivery. Like any other public educator, I want to find the best resources to serve the greatest number of students, regardless of individualized need.
