TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Language Lairs is a tabletop role-playing adventure program. It was designed to be played with B1 or higher ESL students. Students take on the role of an adventurer and travel through the world of Ethyria. Students practice their listening and speaking skills during the lesson, while learning new vocabulary and grammar through the Journal Entries and Books they find during their game sessions. This program has been a success with students in Prague, Czech Republic. For more information regarding online lessons or further information about the program, please visit our website at www.teatime.cz/dnd

MY TEACHING STYLE

A unique stylized program that requires some imagination from the teacher and the students. Over the past several years I have developed this interactive program to engage my students in creative writing and imagination. I have been a long time player of tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars D20, Shadow Run, as well as other games such as these. From those experiences I have developed a unique D20 tabletop game that is simple and easy to use and follow. In the Language Lairs quest books, a teacher will find enough resources to have their students in engaged in a at least a half-year campaign that will encourage them to write and use their imagination. This includes Journal Entries for reading, vocabulary, and grammar; detailed maps and items for students to explore; creatures and enemies to fight!
