TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I was a Kindergarten teacher for 10 years, and really loved it! Such an amazing age, and so many creative options for how they can learn. My students over the years are who inspired me to write my first book, and that was a springboard for all of my work.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in doing everything we possibly can to improve the emotional well being of our students. Kids need specific instruction on how to deal with life's frustrations and difficult issues. Mental health issues are on the rise, and teachers are a key resource to helping prepare students, by teaching self efficacy skills and giving them a chance to USE those skills!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received glowing reviews for the 9 books in my Mindful Mantras series.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

4 year Honours undergraduate program at Lakehead University, and then a 1 year teachers college program at Lakehead University. H.Ba, H.BEd
