TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had amazing experiences of teaching 7th and 8th grade language arts and social studies in an Inner-City Urban Environment. I now teach 6th grade language arts and social studies, and I am just in love with them!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I generally teach in units. My classroom time is spent doing literature circles, reading chapter books, and creating inquiry writing units.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have received honors from the National Honor Society. I have also been honored through my district a number of times for Teaching with Academic Excellence. In addition, I am rated as an Accomplished Teacher through the Ohio Teacher's Evaluation System.

I earned my Master's Degree in Middle Childhood Education Concentration in ELA and Social Studies with a Reading Endorsement.
