TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm an experienced secondary and graduate level teacher who really loves her job. I have taught three styles of 9th grade English: Pre-AP, Gen Ed, and ELL. I have taught Keystone, a ninth grade high school readiness career education course, and ACT test prep. I am primarily an arts educator with specialties in visual art, drama, stagecraft, oral communications, and costume and makeup.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Hands on! Learning by doing is the best way to learn. The biggest goal in my classes is to expand my students' creativity by equipping them with new skills and forcing them to apply those skills in novel ways with minimal limits. My kids repeat my mantra to me: "create something you're proud of!"
