Lessons in a Bubble - Kimberly Jacobs

This is my 35th year teaching and year 20 as a k-12 RSP teacher. I hold an MS in Curriculum. I have three valid California Teacher Credentials. I moonlight as an adjust professor at a local university in the teacher credentialing program. I am an intervention strategist for students second to 9th grade in reading, writing and math.

Small groups! Even before my move to special education I practiced the effective yet insanely demanding routine of small group differentiated instruction. The long weekends of planning taught me to be efficient by empowering student to participate in their education. They became my partners and we walked through the year hand in hand discovering who they were, what they were best at and when they needed me to support them.

I started writing stories when I was 7. But, my dad was a teacher and I wanted to grow up to be just like him. Now that I have developed into a teacher leader I am going to head into my 60's by embracing my dreams, my talents and the 21st. century. My passion is to help caring teachers support the students who struggle in school. Teaching is hard. For many students, so is learning. I have a blog, just google Lessons in a Bubble.
