TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have a B. Ed (Hons) specialising in the Early Years and taught for ten years in a state school teaching 5 - 7 yr olds and with overall responsibility for the teaching of reading throughout the whole school. Many of my pupils had special needs. I also have a further 20 years of experience home-educating my two children. I now tutor pupils with a wide range of abilties privately. With my mother who taught in primary schools for many years and then latterly as a private special needs teacher, we have made a range of resources for the teaching of phonics especially. She is the artist.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer a more formal teaching style as this produces the best results for me, being time and energy efficient with maximum benefit for the pupils.
