Little Bilingual Spain

I have been an English teacher for over 12 years while living in Spain. I have had the opportunity to work with so many children from the age of four months and up in various different schools which I have found invaluable. My exposure to different teaching methods and curriculums gave me the optimum foundations to create my own which I have used online during the early months of the pandemic which helped provide a safe learning space for young learners. I am also a private tutor and business English teacher for students of all ages. I now specialise in preparing students for their First, Advanced and Proficiency examinations as well as PET, KET and Oposiciones exams.

I like to structure my classes into 3 parts, typically 20 minute blocks. I follow the PPP method which means Present, Practice and Produce. Each lesson, we start with the grammar topic, vocabulary list, etc. and start to think about how it's used. Then, we go into a bit of study and really understand how to use it in a sentence or conversation. In this part, I use videos, listening exercises and my virtual classroom to guide you through the learning process. Then, we use it in games, conversation, video quizzes and other fun activities to help you retain the information and end the class feeling happy and motivated to learn more.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am originally from the UK (close to London) and I have been living and working in Madrid, Spain for the last 13 years. In addition to being an English teacher, I am a mummy, a singer-songwriter and a massive Marvel fan! I love to talk about movies, music, space, art, cooking, and all things to do with being a Mummy.
