I have had 5 years experience in a low socio-economic area. I have taught children grades K-8 with a wide range of disabilities from SLD, EBD, DCD, DD, ASD, OHD, etc. This fall I will begin a new chapter of my teaching career! I will be working with students with EBD grades 3-5 in my hometown.
My teaching style varies greatly depending on each students' learning styles. I believe it is a crucial part of teaching to be able to be flexible with your teaching style rather than expecting the student to be flexible with their learning styles. I find great value in using humor, interests, and student experts (peer teaching) in my daily lessons.
Every day is an honor when I am able to facilitate the learning of our future leaders.
