TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a second year first grade teacher! My first teaching experience was at a behavioral school in Columbus, Ohio where I taught first and second grade students. This teaching experience taught me a lot about patience, love and understanding. Ultimately, I found my dream job the following year and I am now teaching first grade in a suburb just outside of Columbus. I have my reading endorsement and I am currently working on earning my fourth and fifth grade endorsement!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in a responsive classroom style of teaching. Students need to know that they are loved and cared about first and foremost. The only way to accomplish this is by getting to know them. I spend a lot of time at the beginning of the school year with get-to-know-you activities and creating a community within the classroom.
