I have started my teaching career 9 years ago. My initial career choice was a paralegal. However, it wasn't long until I realized I loved being around people and learning from them. That's when I decided to go back to school and get my teaching certificate. It was the best choice I made for myself. I have been a part of numerous activities such as volleyball coach, JSA, greenhouse garden at our school (because who does not love plants) and Peer Leadership.
I try to make history fun. I use inquiry based lessons, projects, DBQs, students centered activities, emphasize primary sources, digital media, and I use A LOT of MAPS! Many of my resources are fun enhancement activities for the chapter you are teaching.
