Hello! I am a school-based speech-language pathologist. My caseload consists of students from pre-k thru 5th grade with speech and language disabilities, developmental and learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder.
I believe the best way to reach a child is to get on their level. Every single day can be an exciting challenge, so I always bring my biggest bag of tricks to use until I find something that works. Once you have a child’s interest and true attention, the learning begins. I love keeping it fun and interactive. And I truly believe you have to be genuine. Kids can sense when you love what you do!
My biggest honor is being able to go to work every day to a job I love, and impacting the lives of the parents, children, teachers, and other SLPs I've worked with over the years. I’ve also received several awards from my department and school district for going “above and beyond” in recognition of the contributions I’ve made to my department.
I hold a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and 32 additional credits, along with countless other classes and trainings. Educators love education!
I was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in and around the Pittsburgh area. My husband and I have five children and two dogs. I love all types of music, walking and hiking, watching football and hockey, and keeping up with the busy lives of my children.
