I have experience teaching a wide variety of grade levels and working in government.
I try to build my lessons using the a hook, or minds-on, to engage students in the lesson an action phase where students engage with the material, and a consolidation phase focused on individual work to provide educators with an assessment piece and to get students to absorb the material.
My favorite teaching moment is watching a student understand something for the first time.

I am a writer, teacher, cyclist, fencer, and rugby player living in Ottawa, Canada. I'm hoping to make creative lesson plans that explore tricky topics in interesting ways, and write useful materials that you would use in your classroom, especially for social studies. Please leave a comment or review, and contact me if there's a social studies resource you want someone to write. I'm your guy.
