Mrs Coach Johnson

I like to say that I have been in and out of the classroom my whole life. Through Clinical Teaching and Field Experience, I have taught in Kindergarten, Second Grade, and Third Grade classrooms. Professionally, I have taught and am currently teaching 4th grade.

My goal as a teacher is to try to engage my students with as many fun and engaging ways as my teachers did. I want to learn along with my students while still guiding their instruction.

I graduated in 2023 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6 Core Subjects with the Science of Teaching Reading. I am certified in Early Childhood through 6th grade for ELAR, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Physical Education, and Music. I also have obtained my Science of Teaching Reading certification, as well as my ESL certification.

Why Mrs. Coach Johnson? My lovely husband is also an educator and is a coach as well. When we were first dating, his students would often ask him who the girl in the picture on his desk was. He would tell them my name, however, none of the students would remember! Soon, students started calling me "Mrs. Coach Johnson" and the name just stuck!
