Hello! :) I've been teaching English now for 15 years at the high school level. I've taught grades 9 through 12 at the workplace, academic, college, and university levels. I love the study of literature and I've taught novels and dramas that include Hamlet, The Merchant of Venice, Romeo and Juliet, Dracula, The Hunger Games, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, Throwaway Daughter, Death of a Salesman, Pygmalion, and many, many more. This will be my fourteenth year teaching. My goal is to update my store with new resources and materials for new novel studies like Station Eleven, The Walking Dead, Night Shift, Internment, and many more. I will also be including Distant Learning resources.
We need to make our teaching of literature relevant to students' lives. We need to be excited about what we are teaching. Our students feed off our enthusiasm and tend to want to read and write if we're excited about it ourselves. I try to make each day interesting and exciting for my students. They don't know what to expect and there's never a dull moment.
My students' success.
Graduated from University of Toronto with an Honours B.A in English and History. Completed my teacher education at OISE( University of Toronto).
