By trade I am a Psychiatric Registered Nurse who specializes in adolescent mental health. After several years working in that field, I decided that I wanted a job that allowed me to build trusting relationships with my coworkers as well as my "patients". School nursing has been the biggest blessing in my work life and I am forever grateful for the amazing team of teachers, staff and administrators any one could ask for.

As a school nurse, I am limited on my interaction with my students. I take pride in using kindness and compassion with all people, especially young people. I live by the quote "an escalated adult cannot de-escalate a child." I believe in embracing all qualities of a child's learning style.

Coined by the Secretary of defense 2010 at Dover Air Force Base, for my rolled as "Key Spouse" in the 436th Communication Squadron, in recognizing spouses in destress and training Airman and their families on Suicide Awareness and prevention.

I was raised by two teachers. TEACHERS ARE MY FAVORITE PEOPLE!

I am the mother of 3 boys and have been with my Jr high sweetheart for 21 years. In my free time (whats that??) I enjoy painting, drawing, singing and spending time with my family.
