I am a second-year blended pre-k teacher. While doing my student teaching, I was hired for the next school year in the same school that I was student teaching in. While earning my degree, I worked at a KinderCare facility. I mainly taught 2 and 3-year-olds, but worked for periods of time with infants all the way up to school-aged students.
I believe that classroom community and environment is the most important factor in helping students be successful. I primarily use play-based learning as I teach in a blended room that has students with a variety of skills and needs. I wholeheartedly believe that each student can make incredible growth when given the right tools and support.
