TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching full-time in the Catholic sector since 2002. Initially a year 6/7 teacher, I have been teaching year 3/4 part-time for the past 2 years, since the arrival of my first child.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am passionate about engaging students to be self-managing and self-aware as learners. I have high expectations that all students can and will learn and achieve success and that my classroom first and foremost, is a place of learning. I believe the role of the teacher is crucial in planning engaging learning activities to meet the diverse needs of learners in one class. There is both a place for explicit teaching and for learners to investigate openly to expand their knowledge and skills.
