REAL LANGUAGE right away

Denise Clivaz and Elizabeth Roberts teach K-8 French outside of Chicago. Through their collaboration, they have created the Real Language right away program, a unique communicative approach for beginner language students. We believe that language is communication, so we try to give our students as much talk-time during a given class as possible. A key to our philosophy is that the analysis of the language should come after the student has had a chance to interact with it and understand it, much the way one learns his native language.

We have spoken at state, regional, and national language conferences over the last five years, including ICTFL, WAFLT, NECTFL, SCOLT, CLTA, CSCTFL, and ACTFL.
