The smiles on the kids faces and watching them graduate is an award itself. Knowing that I made an impact on that student's life is a great honor.

Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. I received my hands on education in the classrooms working as a tutor and a teacher aid for the past 10 years.

I worked in the education field for better part of 10 years on the Navajo Nation. I have worked closely with great educators in the Special Education field. They opened my eyes in the diversity of learning styles. Not all students think and learn alike. This forces us to think outside the box of regular teaching strategies. Due to geographical location, we have no choice but to work with what material we have. I have created many modified graphic organizers and worksheets that help Sped students better understand learning material. I am currently working on my BA degree...very exciting!
