I have nine years of upper-elementary teaching experience in a rural area of Southern California. As a Structured-English-Immersion (SEI) teacher, I created my own teaching resources to provide adequate scaffolding for my students. I thrive on motivating the most struggling students and my favorite part of teaching is sharing the "light bulb" moments with them. I recently have been promoted to full-time mommy of two toddlers.
I teach in humility and am continually refining my strategies. I believe the teacher-student relationship is at the heart of all learning.
I was awarded California State University San Bernardino’s Student of the Year for my graduate work in 2007.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Master’s degree in Integrative and Holistic Education from Cal State San Bernardino.
