TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been in education for over 20 years! I believe that I can make a difference in the lives of my students and strive to do that, one student at a time! I currently teach future EC-8th grade teachers at the college level and assist in professional development with current classroom teachers. I taught mathematics at the high school level for 7 years and have been teaching in higher education for the past 13 years. With a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction focused on mathematics education, I teach mathematics courses for future K-8th grade teachers and work with Teacher Quality educational programs to enhance the mathematics education of current teachers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

The education of students has to go beyond the standards and objectives, attempt to reach all types of learners, and motivate students to reach beyond what they may view as boundaries.
