I have taught since 1985, mostly at the primary level in the public schools.
Song reaches into a deep place and could stay with a child for a life. Children sing with gusto the popular song on the radio. Why not teach them songs with academic content? And why not string the songs into a story? Thus the musical is born. The musicals appropriate for public school have been performed by my kindergarten or t-k class, and yes, they happily learned all the words to all the songs.
I was awarded site teacher of the year, 2013-2014
Earned B.A.s in art history and English
Ollie is the olive tree mentioned in Romans 11. We can read how branches are broken off and then other branches are grafted in. Fortunately for Ollie, even the original branches are grafted back. Olive trees grow for hundreds of years, some even say a thousand years! This gives Ollie lots of time to meet new friends. Happily, he has recorded his adventures in MemoirsofanOliveTree.com. But this TpT site has additional musicals for the public schools. Ollie is very smart!
