TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist and have been teaching for 20 years in schools, homeschools, and international online tutoring.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach using multi-sensory materials. I use the Orton-Gillingham Method of teaching reading and writing.

I was a member of the State Advisory Board for Special Education for the State of Georgia.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Master’s degree in Learning Disabilities. I am a Dyslexia Therapist using Take Flight, and Sequential, English Education, and Wilson. I am the certified academic language therapist. I have extensive Orton Gillingham training over 300 hours of training with a 700 hour plus practicum.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am passionate about helping students who struggle with reading and writing. I use the Orton-Gillingham Multi-Sensory approach, which forms the basis for my teaching methodology. I am a tutor and work with students internationally providing online teletherapy for children with special needs.
