I have gained considerable teaching experience both in Slovakia, my home country, and in Shanghai. Owing to more than 10 years of teaching, countless meetings with students of all ages and professional backgrounds, ranging from primary school, middle school and high school students in China, through university students and young professionals in his home country to top managers of multinational company, I have mastered numerous teaching methods that have proven to deliver the best possible results. I have taught dozens of middle school and high school students from China, Japan, South Korea, USA, multiple European and Asian countries at international as well as bilingual schools in Shanghai. Most of my former students now study at reputable universities in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
My ultimate teaching goal is not only to prepare my students for successful completion of their studies, but also to teach them essential personality traits necessary to become valuable members of growing and increasingly complex global community. Therefore, I do not hide my desire to make students understand the relations between various issues and logically analyse their conclusions rather than memorize knowledge. With everything I do, I am trying to act as a role-model for my students. I strongly believe in a principle of fair-play and that rules apply to everyone. I have high expectations for my students and for myself alike. Consequently, it is no secret that my students tend to see me as a strict person. Yet, I treat each student in a friendly manner, as an independent personality, with their own opinions, feelings and moods and fully understand their occasional downsides. I do not hide my desire to teach students how to bear responsibility for their actions, yet be rewarded if they exceed expectations. Last, but not least, I do not hide my desire to communicate with my students with an ambition to develop their own opinions and critical thinking rather than make them write and agree with the teacher all the time.
